About<\/h3>\n

Istv\u00e1n Aranyosi received his PhD in 2005 at the Central European University under the supervision of Howard Robinson and David Chalmers. He specializes in the philosophy of mind and of cognitive science and in metaphysics, and has further teaching competence in philosophy of language philosophy of religion, Ancient and Modern social and political philosophy. His publications include two books \u2013 The Peripheral Mind<\/em><\/a> (Oxford University Press, 2013) and God, Mind, and Logical Space<\/em><\/a> (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013) \u2013 as well as a number of articles on various topics within his fields of research, such as \u201cA New Argument for Mind-Brain Identity\u201d in British Journal for the Philosophy of Science<\/em> (honorable Mention at the American Philosophical Association 2012 Article Prize), “The Solo Numero Paradox<\/a>” in American Philosophical Quarterly<\/em>, and “Should We Fear Quantum Torment?” in Ratio<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Dr. Aranyosi will be on sabbatical at the Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes’s Centre for Philosophy of Memory<\/a> during Spring semester of 2026.<\/p>\n
