In her talk, she revisited Mary Astell\u2019s analogy of marriage as a form of slavery, placing it within the broader context of transatlantic slavery and its philosophical implications. The<a href=\"https:\/\/bshp.org.uk\/events\/bshp-annual-lecture\/\"> annual lecture<\/a>, organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/bshp.org.uk\/\">British Society for the History of Philosophy<\/a> (BSHP), honors the memory of the distinguished historian of philosophy, Professor Maria Rosa Antognazza (1964-2023).
