We are very happy to announce that Arash Abazari<\/a>, Daniel Ferguson<\/a>, Alex Moran<\/a> and\u00a0Jack Woods<\/a> will be joining the department in September 2025.<\/p>

Arash Abazari<\/strong> received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University. Before joining Bilkent University, he held a Humboldt Research Fellowship at Goethe-Universit\u00e4t Frankfurt and was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Leuven. His research centers on 19th-century German philosophy, with a particular focus on Fichte, Hegel, Marx, and the Frankfurt School. He is the author of Hegel\u2019s Ontology of Power<\/em> (Cambridge University Press, 2020). His work has also appeared in leading journals, including the European Journal of Philosophy<\/em>\u00a0and Philosophy and Social Criticism<\/em>. Find out more about Dr, Abazari here<\/a>.<\/p>

Daniel Ferguson<\/strong> is currently a British Academy Newton International Fellow at King\u2019s College London<\/a>. Before joining KCL, he held positions as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Northwestern University and as a Lecturer at Yale University. Ferguson completed his PhD in Classics and Philosophy at Yale University. Dr Ferguson\u2019s research focuses on ancient ethics, specifically on questions about happiness, virtue, and ideal agency in Plato and Aristotle. His scholarly contributions have been published in prominent journals such as Phronesis<\/em> and Ancient Philosophy<\/em>. Find out more about Dr, Ferguson\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>

Alex Moran<\/strong> received his received his PhD in philosophy from Cambridge University. Before the move to Bilkent, he was an SNSF Research Fellow at the Universit\u00e9 de Fribourg, and remains a Research Associate at Stockholm University.\u00a0 His research primarily explores issues in the philosophy of mind and metaphysics, with additional interests in early analytic philosophy, early modern philosophy, meta-ethics, and the philosophy of religion. His articles have appeared in such journals as Australasian Journal of Philosophy<\/em>, Philosophical Studies<\/em>, Analytic Philosophy<\/em>, Philosophical Perspectives<\/em>. Jack Woods<\/strong> received his PhD in philosophy from Princeton University. A Humboldt Foundation fellow and alumni and a former University Academic Fellow at Leeds, he has been invited to speak at many prestigious venues, including the Aristotelian Society and the Cambridge Moral Sciences Club. He has published numerous prominent articles in Metaethics; Epistemology; Logic and the Philosophy of Logic, and a bit of Normative Ethics. These have appeared in venues such as the Philosophical Review<\/em>, No\u00fbs<\/em>, Ethics<\/em>, and Oxford Studies in Metaethics and Normative Ethics<\/em>.
