We are delighted to announce that our former PhD student, Evrensel Sebep, will begin a three-year postdoctoral position in Practical Philosophy at the University of Bern, starting in September 2026. During his appointment, he will develop his research project, “Civilians and Collective Liability: A New Framework for Just War Theory.”
Evrensel successfully defended his doctoral thesis, The Citizenry as a Collective Agent, in 2026. The thesis makes a significant contribution to the field, and some of its central ideas have already appeared in the Journal of Social Ontology [click here].
We warmly congratulate Evrensel on this outstanding achievement and wish him every success in this exciting new stage of his academic career.
