New Appointments

Rafael Ventura (PhD, Duke) – Rafael’s work falls primarily within philosophy of science, philosophy of biology, and philosophy of language. He is particularly interested in the philosophical implications of biological and cultural evolution, as well as in the use of quantitative methods in philosophy, such as model-based and data-driven approaches. He has published in Synthese and in Fungal Ecology.

Nick DiBella (PhD, Stanford) – Nick’s areas of research specialization are metaphysics, epistemology, and philosophy of probability. The overarching aim of his research is to develop a probabilistic approach to metaphysics—that is, a systematic approach to metaphysics that aims to determine just how probable various answers are to different metaphysical questions. He has an article in Synthese.
