Beginning in Fall 2025, students will have the opportunity to pursue a Minor in Classical Studies. This new interdisciplinary program introduces students to key aspects of the ancient cultures of Greece and Rome, including their literature, artifacts, history, politics, and intellectual traditions. The minor will be taught by faculty from the Departments of Archaeology and Philosophy, as well as the Program in Cultures, Civilizations & Ideas. There are no prerequisite courses.
Admission requirements: click here.
Application deadline for Fall 2025: August 22, 2025.
Application forms should be delivered to the Department of Archaeology (via email or in person). Remember to include a copy of your latest transcript.
Note: Philosophy students cannot take this minor, as one of the must courses is also a required course for their major. Instead they are encouraged to complete a Minor in Archaeology, which will result in nearly the same course coverage.
